Edward Franco

A second-generation private investigator, Edward currently performs a dual role as general manager of Franco Investigation Services Ltd. and in academic development within the private investigation and security industry.

As a senior private investigator, Edward is responsible for day-to-day operations and management of FIS, serving a broad range of clients, both large and small, throughout Southern Ontario, Canada and across North America. During his tenure with the firm, Edward has conducted, handled or managed a wide and diverse range of investigations including corporate and internal frauds, extensive industrial undercover investigations, criminal matters, insurance and disability claims, domestic and financial investigations, as well as backgrounds and general investigations. As well as managing field operations, Edward is responsible for overseeing agency operations and for maintaining FIS’ reputation for integrity, efficiency, quality and confidentiality.

Simultaneously, Edward manages operation for the Canadian School of Private Investigation & Security Ltd. (https://www.cspis.com) a premier academic institution registered under Ontario’s Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. Since 1980, CSPIS has provided training to countless working private investigators, security professionals and legal practitioners. Today, the institute offers both basic provincially-mandated license preparation courses along with advanced postsecondary programs, giving its students a range of options in managing employment and career goals.

Edward has decades-long experience in all facets of private investigation. He is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of private investigation by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services; is a Commissioner of Oaths; and assisted with Ontario’s private investigator licensing examination development. Edward is also experienced in all facets of managing a provincially registered private career college, including compliance issues as mandated by Ontario’s Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development.
