Polygraph (lie detector) Examination
HOW DOES IT WORK?
A polygraph machine is designed to measure and record four key elements of a subject’s reactions (breathing rate, pulse rate, blood pressure, and skin conductivity [sweat]), as they answer a series of questions. A trained examiner tracks and interprets these readings.
From there, our examiners use their experience and expertise to help shed light on your situation. Whether as part of a comprehensive investigation or as a stand-alone investigative approach, polygraph examinations can be invaluable tools in getting to the truth.
You need to know for sure. And there’s one sure-fire way to get an answer: a polygraph test. The value of a polygraph examination as an investigative tool is beyond doubt. While Courts might forbid introducing the results as evidence, when a question burns in your mind, a polygraph examination conducted by qualified experts can provide you with insight and information that you may have no other way of finding.
Polygraph examinations are helpful in many situations – for people experiencing relationship issues; in the case of thefts and accusations of criminal wrong-doing; in family-related matters; and amongst individuals torn apart by suspicion and unanswered questions.
THE PROCESS
There’s nothing scary about a polygraph test. The procedure is very straightforward. Should you decide to schedule a polygraph examination, here is what to expect. The process begins with a consultation with one of our investigators to discuss the parameters of the issues in detail. This session focuses on the principle questions you need answered. It helps if you are completely truthful so we can prepare for an entirely successful test. The session is followed by three steps as discussed below.

One
We prepare questions based on the consultation you had and schedule a date and time for the test itself (the subject must agree to the examination and thus must be available at the nominated time.)

Two
On the day of the test, the subject will be asked to sign an authorization and consent form. The subject then sits with our polygraph examiner for a pre-test interview, after which the examination is carried out. Shortly after it’s done, the results are reviewed and assessed.

Three
Following the conclusion of the examination, we assemble and analyze the test’s findings and prepare a report outlining the results that can tell you what you need to know.
